God’s Truth Never Changes!

August 5-9, 6-8:30pm

Join us for a week of adventure at Breaker Rock Beach where kids will learn that God’s truth never changes!  Kids will be challenged to recognize the difference between the lies of culture and God’s unchanging truth.

Romans 12:2 says “Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”

• We will be using security bands — please make sure whomever is picking up your child has the matching band or a photo of the matching band. New bands will be issued each night.
• We will have a free hotdog stand every night from 5:15-5:45pm if you don’t have time to grab dinner or just feel like a hotdog. 
• Bring a friend! Limited spaces available for walk-in registration.
  • • PreK (must be 4 by 9/1/2024 and potty trained)
    • Grades K-5th (based on the grade your child just completed at the end of the 2023-2024 school year)
• VBS shirts ($10) are available to preorder when you register or purchase on-site during VBS week.

WHAT IS THE THEME OF VBS?

We are going on an adventure in the Pacific Northwest at Breaker Rock Beach.  Get ready to explore tide pools and spot orcas and sea lions!

WHAT TIME IS DROP-OFF & PICK-UP?

Doors will open at 5:45. Kids can be dropped off between 5:45 – 6:00 PM.  Parents need to walk their kids into the building each night and make sure they are dropped off with their Group Leader in the sanctuary.  We will have free hotdogs available each night from 5:30 – 6:00 if you need a quick dinner.

Pick-up is at 8:30 PM.  Parents will pick up children in the sanctuary, from the Group Leader.

 

WHAT IS LSBC’S CHILD SECURITY POLICY?

Each night, at drop-off you will receive wristbands with matching numbers – one for you and one for your child.  The adult picking up your child will need to show the wristband or a picture of the wristband to the Group Leader at pick-up.  No wristband?  We will require a photo ID.  Adult must be listed on registration form as authorized to pick up child.

 

WHAT DO I DO IF SOMEONE ELSE IS PICKING UP MY CHILD?

Please make sure whomever is picking up your child has the matching wristband or a photo of the matching band. 

 

CAN WE BRING A FRIEND?

Yes, walk-in registration will be available each night if it’s a last-minute friend invite.  Otherwise, have friends pre-register at www.lakeshorebaptist.org through August 1.  

 

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY?

If you should need to contact your child while he/she is at VBS, please call Margo Schwartz, VBS Director, at 443-306-8362.

 

CAN I PURCHASE A VBS T-SHIRT FOR MY CHILD?

Yes! VBS Shirts will be available to purchase for $10.00 – while quantities last!  We will accept cash and credit cards/Apple Pay/Venmo.

 

CAN I STAY ON THE CHURCH CAMPUS DURING VBS?

We do have a lounge area where parents can hang out during VBS, but parents are not allowed to accompany children to their classes.  We will also have a Parenting Study on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
